Het was een open race dit jaar en de prijzen werden dus proper
verdeeld op de 69ste Golden Globes Awards, nog steeds de
belangrijkste graadmeter voor de Oscars. ‘The Artist’ ging met drie
prijzen aan de haal, George Clooney werd bekroond als beste acteur
voor ‘The Descendents’ en Scorsese mocht een beeldje in ontvangst
nemen voor beste regie (‘Hugo’).
